I recently completed ATPL ground school at Easy-Pilot, and found the experience mediocre. I went for the €2k package (it's listed with a €2'490 price, but seems to be permanently on sale for €1'990). The package consists of a series of webinars, the link to some publicly available ebooks, a 12-months subscription to AvExam or ATPLQuestions, and, crucially, Easy-Pilot acting as an ATO to sign up its students for exams with the respective testing center. I got the impression that Easy-Pilot's service is limited strictly to fulfill the legal requirements, not to actually train students. The weekly webinars were scheduled haphazardly, subjects announced on short notice, and didn't seem well-prepared. Often, instructors were just killing time -- one instructor spent about 30 minutes of every 5-hour webinar advising the same group of students to 1) request printouts of all annexes when attending tests, 2) at the beginning of each test, write their notes on a sheet of paper and use that sheet as a reference throughout the test, and 3) print out charts and use clear plastic foil to practice drawing on them. The students mostly zoned out in classes -- there's a requirement to attend, but it's more practical to use the available books, videos, or the question bank to actually study. Recently, Easy-Pilot introduced a clunky web app to manage the webinars and homework assignments. They seem to have noticed that students weren't getting a lot out of the webinars and homework assignments, and instead of improving the quality, they are now resorting to sending grumpy emails ("We have noticed recently that many of you do not complete the homework after the webinars"). In addition to the webinar requirement, there's also a requirement to spend at least 585 hours with the question bank open on a screen -- using books or videos to study is not considered. In my experience, communicating with Easy-Pilot was often a cumbersome experience: Even routine emails often went unanswered for days. There was a series of WhatsApp numbers where people would respond more quickly on occasion, but they were prone to change unannounced, or just go out of service. In summary -- it's a service that will sign you up for exams and make sure that you were connected to webinars for 65 hours and had a question bank open on screen for 585. Just don't expect to get more out of it.
