4 years agoI left very good a full time job to work for Thompson’s. I was guaranteed at LEAST 6 months full time work. 3 weeks into my employment me and many dozens of people like me who just started we’re sacked, a month before Christmas. I have a new family depending on me and me only to provide. We have a new mortgage, heating, food, ,bills coming from all angles, only to be sent an EMAIL! a few hours before work telling me that I no longer have a job don’t come to work. And no reason given. I sent replies asking why, I asked why was no notice even given. Just ignored. It was apparent from the day I arrived there to the day I was sacked that I and everyone that worked in Thompson’s was just a number, that could be just taken advantage of, prompted to leave good permanent jobs with promise, only to be thrown to the curb with an email and no notice a month before Christmas. Thank you Thompson’s you have destroyed my life, and now I am having to find work in another country and split from my family because Me and many more were lied to. The Chinese communist government that owns you may drop you like a sack of spuds one day like you did to people like me. If you believe in Karma I’d be fearful

Still along way to go, with the right people and attitude, I can see it happening, a few nightmares running about, but be the change you want to see them maybe it will catch on
