This flight school is amazing (coming from someone who has rented from schools all across the country). Friendly staff and instructors, large fleet of well maintained aircraft, very reasonable prices, and clear website with all relevant information/requirements posted. Some of the negative reviews are so wrong (many from non US citizens?). The flight school has a good reputation among the Colorado pilots community as well, from everything I’ve heard (especially for mountain flying training). The Google average should be 4.8+ stars.
Horrible place, they make student pay tire damage because of instructors mistake. David the manager is probably the rudest person I ever talked to, just saying we determined it’s your responsibility and we have charged your card then hang up. lol they think they can just charge the card and keep the money. Time for a lesson to show them what is chargeback. The owner threats to sue me back if I take legal action. Yes the rates are low but consider the hidden cost, stay away !
My 16 year old daughter takes lessons here to get her ppl, and it has been nothing but fantastic thus far. She trains with Aiden, who we highly recommend! He’s very professional and courteous, stays in touch when weather isn’t cooperating in case of cancellations, and even helped me shop for a new headset for my daughter for a Christmas present. I shopped the other schools at Rocky Mountain Airport, and RMFS’s prices can’t be beat. Their online reservation system is extremely easy to use, from picking an instructor to picking a plane. I can’t say enough good things!
Had a great experience doing some multi-engine time building with RMFS. The instructor I flew with, Paul, was a super nice guy but also very professional. Everything from my initial contact with them through the flights themselves was as advertised. The planes are a little older but seem mechanically sound, and I would highly recommend RMFS as a school and particularly Paul as an instructor.
This flight school owner replied with a pathetic response (dumba^^). You and your flight school pals are making money while sending your noobs low & aggressively in over the neighborhood.
Nothing but waste. Sadly amazing to see how remarkably greedy & inconsiderate is this flight school - aggressively & continuously running low-altitude non-stop flights over our neighborhood - is this good training for your clients? This greedy flight school and the county airport don’t care - they just want the money. Filing complaints with the airport is a waste of time. They ignore them and keep adding fight schools, flights and more and more noise and air pollution. County Airport management is happy because they get to put more money in their pockets. The significant increase in pollution they are creating is not relevant to them at all. They are all just laughing all the way to the bank.
