Absolutely outraged, I faced a very aggressive ambulance driver today. He wouldn't let me merge into the highway and everytime I get in front of him he puts is sirens on and turn it off when I move away.
When driving down Lima (just south of Arapahoe) on Friday, a driver from this company was in the center "suicide" lane with his emergency lights going. Naturally, I and other drivers slowed and stopped. Turns out there was no emergency, just the driver (older bald gentleman) taking a couple of boxes and throwing them off onto the grass on the west side of the Lima. He was literally running his emergency lights while parked in a center later, disrupting traffic so he could litter.
I pulled up next to his vehicle and asked him why he was littering. He said he didn't have anywhere else to put the boxes.
Was he kidding? He was driving a Chevy Tahoe with the identifier "C1" stenciled on the side. In a Tahoe he has plenty of room. I should know, I also drive a Tahoe.
He drove off. I looked up the number and called the corporate office where a man who identified himself as the manager just kept saying "okay" as I related my story. Not once did he say he'd look in to it, talk to the driver or apologize for littering. When I asked him why he didn't seem concerned he merely said, "I'm letting you complain." As though my bringing this situation to his attention was enough to justify the littering in the first place.
I then told him I'd complain, alight. I'd complain on social media. He then said he'd sue me for libel, slander - both. I laughed at him. It can only be libel or slander if it's false. What I'd witnessed wasn't false. Heck, it wasn't even hearsay, it was something I witnessed with my own two eyes and then became involved with when I addressed the driver.
Needless to say: the littering, the parking in the middle of the street with emergency lights going, the cavalier attitude about destroying the environment, the unconcern shown by the "manager" and then the threat all adds up to a 1 Star review because I cannot give a lower rating.
