Absolutely the worst place to learn how to fly. Instructor never available. At my new school I'm already flying solo in 2 weeks where at Pacific it took 2 weeks to hear back from any instuctor. Waste of time and money
Really enjoyed, professional, courteous, and sweat the details. Thank you very much to Dana Archer, and team, a wonderful scouting trip. The engine just purred, so nice weather and overall lifetime great memory.
Great place to become a good pilot! Big well-maintained fleet, knowledgeable CFIs and quite a few students to connect with on your journey to PPL, CPL or more advanced airmanship.
Did my multi and IFR at PFC back in 2019
At the time they were the only school in the area that had the planes and instructors to hammer out my training as quickly as possible - thus saving me money avoiding repeating lessons.
The airport can be congested at certain times of the day and weekends, but you can plan around that if you have a flexible instructor and schedule — something to consider before committing to a program
Flight training isn’t cheap, but I’m satisfied with the product they provided and thankful they were able to accommodate me on such short notice.
Also, Parkash in accounting was very friendly and found time in her busy schedule to explain to me how to deal with certain tax issues/write offs — 4 years since my last session!
Thanks PFC, Parkash, and Marcel! … as I write this during my first 737 PPC!
Would not recommend Pacific flying club for private pilots license (PPL) They market saying to expect approx. 60hrs for flying time at a cost of around $16K over 4 to 6 months but in reality from my experience and nearly every other PPL student I spoke with it was over 120 hour of flying time at a cost of over $30,000 over 12 to 18 months.
There is a lack of communication between students and instructors. The management is disrespectful and rude. The turnover of instructors is very high and results in mostly new and inexperienced instructors. My experience with pacific flying club was very frustrating and at time infuriating. If you want to enjoy your experience flying and training DO NOT FLY WITH PACIFIC FLYING CLUB!
