I just hated everything about BCIT.
You will feel like you are just being charged for each period all program long but when you need a refund or to transfer a course, things are not treated with same urgency as they do when they are charging you. They give you a 6 weeks period to get a ridiculous refund check (which you had to pay immediately) and they only responds to your inquiry after you waited 9 weeks, which of course after the 9 weeks they had no clue where the check was and simply replied: we will issue it bank transfer.
They make you wait like an idiot for 9 weeks for them to process the refund online immediately when you threat to report them.
Beside from that you have some good teacher but not all of them has skills to teach as they say “they are experienced professionals teaching” which does not mean they know how to share knowledge.
Specially if you are an international student, don’t waste your money with this institution. It’s too much money for less quality.
This school has been incredibly disappointing. After graduation, the process of obtaining my official transcript and graduation letter was unnecessarily difficult. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, their student records team proved to be highly unprofessional. They repeatedly told me to email them because they couldn’t assist over the phone, yet it took them 4-5 business days to respond to a single email. It’s ironic that they claim to teach professionalism for the workplace when their own standards of professionalism are appalling.
I have a family member intent on BCIT & I will definitely suggest they read the reviews.
The response to some reviews by the Institute has only solidified my negative opinion of this particular " Institute"
BCIT was once a proud reputable institution and in some ways remains. The main problem, is that the institution has allowed tons of "fake students" in by not vetting and properly looking through to who is taking courses. Fake students with no education and no intention to complete classes in a fair manner or correctly. Cheating and lack of actual education are just some of the problems these fake students have brought to the institution along with improper etiquette. The campus is nice and the professors are awesome, however the fake students because of paying the Institution have made things unnecessarily difficult for the real and honest international/domestic student. Change is coming. New Government and new rules coming asap 🇨🇦
