Bermuda Airport offers a quick and efficient check-in experience. However, the security checks can be quite slow given the number of flights. The US customs process is fast, making travel to the United States smooth. Overall, the airport is clean, modern, and equipped with all the necessary services for travelers.
This is a small island, and this is a small airport. Easy in and easy out. The staff is nice, as are most people in Bermuda. The airport gets busy, but there aren’t many terminals here. The airport is on the far end of the island and unless you are a local, you can’t rent a car. You can get a Twizy, though! Only airport on the island, so no choice if you want to visit.
Arrived a few hours before our BA flight to London and there was no option to eat. There was a bar that wasn't manned, so the only option was to pay $59 each to access the premium lounge which wasn't going to happen.
The other half of the airport was shut which is for the US flights and that seemed to have more options for food and drink.
For such a smart new airport it was disappointing. If you ask people to turn up a couple of hours before their flight then at least have decent dining options.
security and check in are lovely and quick. US customs always makes me feel like a felon but that's probably just me. The food--every single option from snickers to the food at the bar--is beyond over-priced. I get it, airports can charge, but this is way over the top. The chairs at all the gates are new and clean and insanely uncomfortable. Charging stations are plentiful. The taxi drop off area needs a better rain overhang. Bathrooms are fine.

2 weeks agoPretty efficient airport. Lots of shops and lounges to hang out in before your flight. TSA was efficient. Storms may delay your flight so prepare.
