Airhart took my son on an introductory flight, and it was incredible! Our instructor, Ellicia, was fantastic in every way. She took the time to thoroughly explain the entire plane to him and even let him take the controls several times during the flight. Her passion and patience made it an unforgettable experience. My son was thrilled, and I was impressed with the professionalism and enthusiasm. I’d highly recommend Airhart to anyone looking to explore the skies—an experience not to be missed!
Fly with Airhart!
I'm just about finished my 50 float course with Airhart and it's been the most fun I've had in an airplane by far! Both my instructor Guillaume and the CFI Kyle have been fantastic! The company has great atmosphere and very well kept machines with competitive rates. I'll be recommending this school to all of my flying buddies and plan to come back for a ski checkout this winter! I'm sad to be going back to wheels when I go home.
My experience with Airhart was not entirely positive.
The initial booking process was tiresome as the CFI and any company contact was very unresponsive.
Once the initial booking was finally made, I had showed up on time and ready to fly, only to have to wait for up to an hour for the only pilot on staff to show up and let me into the establishment. The office had individuals sleeping on the couch and it gave off more of a party vibe than it did a professional business.
Once flight training began it wasn’t long before it was clear the instructor pilot was more concerned with showing off and buzzing his friends on boats on the lake than
it was with teaching me how to fly the aircraft.. on my dime.
Take this review with a grain of salt as I have no intention of dragging Airharts name through the dirt as they seem to have positive reviews from most, this is only one students brief experience with only one instructor as I opted to train elsewhere after only a few hours. My hope is Airhart sees this review and strives for a more professional flight training experience for students that pay a lot of money for their training and need the most bang for their buck.
We had a great day and highly recommend Air-Hart Aviation float plane tours! The pilot, Guillaune, explained proceedures clearly at the beginning and we felt very safe. He was knowledgeable about the area and made the flight interesting. There is such amazing diversity of views... mansions, vineyards, farmland, towns, snow capped mountains, burned hillsides, logging areas and remote natural waterfront. The hike to the waterfalls was longer than the 15 mins each way we expected but was an easy walk on a clear trail. Thanks Air-Hart Aviation for a great trip!
Where to start! What a stellar experience. I drove 16 hours to come do my float plane training with these guys because of their reputation and their location. What is better than flying a float plane around the Okanagan valley?? I took their 15 hour “float proficiency” course and took away so many new skills and experiences. Not only were both of my instructors (Braden and Guillaume) super knowledgeable, they were also just easy to get along with and made the experience really fun.
Pro Tip: Book your flights early in the day to leave lots of time for afternoon beers at all the great breweries in the area.
