Really bad company. I've called many times nobody retained back my calls and when they did, they wouldn't take on my case even though they have many employees; about 90 in civil litigation...their rate are higher than most in regards to their experience too

I had a terrible experience with 2 associates at this firm in regards to a legal matter. I arrived there May 29th 2024 to pick up an item that was my property that an associate claimed would be available for pick up on the 34th floor. When I got there I asked the receptionist for the associate who had my property in his possession. The associate told the receptionist he would come down and meet me. While I was waiting the receptionist was very kind and even offered me water and coffee which I accepted. I waited for 30 minutes and the associate still did not come up. He then sent the receptionist a message saying he was busy with work and would like to deal with this another day. I told the receptionist I’d wait for him she then tried to contact him again and he would not answer so she went downstairs to see if she could speak to his assistant. She never came back and a causcasian male with glasses came into the room he refused to identify himself when I asked if he was the associate that had my property. He stood there for about 20 minutes and said nothing to me it was very awkward. Security then came and he pointed at me and they came asked me to leave the building and said that I was trespassing. I respectfully refused because the first associate already confirmed he was coming upstairs and I identified who I was upon my arrival so he knew who was there and why. I was then told police are going to be called, so I left and waited in the hallway until somebody at the firm had the decency speak with me like a human. I finally got to speak with a member of management he was Asian and very helpful and understanding with the situation. However while I was waiting in the hallway talking with security and management the second Caucasian associate called the police on me. I showed the manager proof of the first associate telling my lawyer the item would be available for pick up here, he then agreed I had grounds to be in the building. I then agreed to discuss the situation downstairs in the lobby so we would not be disrupting any business. I’m sharing this to say this law firm needs teach their Caucasian associates how to communicate with people of color. Just because someone is of color does not make them a threat. The manager that was Asian handled this situation exceptionally well and professionally. He asked me why I was there and did not dismiss me like the other Caucasian who refused to speak with me and instantly called the police and security instead handling the situation like a professional. This whole situation is unfortunate and embarrassing for a law firm this big. I had 3 hours of my day wasted because the Caucasians at this office don’t know how to communicate with people of color. Within 15 minutes of communicating with the manager that was Asian the situation was dealt with and I left the premises, with the understanding that associate with my property would ship it to my lawyer. The associate with my property is a pathological liar and very unprofessional. I hope you guys do better moving forward dealing with people of color that come to your office.

I did not retain this firm. In my personal opinion, Mr. Brandon Evenson presented himself as misleading and not trustworthy.
