8 years agoNot sure why people are complaining, I currently go to this school and have none of these problems, I have never had to deal with a plane being down, their planes are taken care of very well. There is no surprise charges because they use a computer system that you can log into at any time and see exactly what you are being charged. I think students who find becoming a pilot too hard should take some responsibility and not blame the school.

11 years agoReally BAD school! Instructors barely work on weekends, planes are always breaking and Super OLD. (single radio with old dial, no GPS, one unreliable VOR... etc) Expensive Price compare to quality of plane like the other person said, little check pilots, too many students, Only 2 instrument planes, 2 multi engine planes (breaks every DAY). at the end of training, Mazzei charges something called "Fuel Surcharge" and that goes up to more than $10,000! ( many of my friends got bettwen $7000~140000) so the final price for the whole training goes up to $60,000 USD! I do not see any price difference between other schools like in Oregon or in Arizona. and they got better and newer and up to date GPS equipped planes! For cross country, you cannot go out side of California, and must stay in california for long cross country. students can't go same airports together because of some kind of Mazzei thing. one big thing I really had stress during the training, the front desk guy is being racial. For any international Students who are planning to come, They know that if you want to transfer to different school, you must go back to your country for visa, they use that! so think once again before you make decision. I Really DO NOT recommend anyone going to this school.
