5 months agoJust read the other reviews, and make sure you ask for quotes, not estimates. These guys set their prices based on whether it is new moon, or the wind speed... whichever is higher. I love how they interact with customers convinced this is the last time they'll see them. I can imagine them in their dark rooms: "Did you rip them off?" "Yeah, that'll teach them to come to us again!".

a year agoHWLe assisted me with employment matter. They are amazing by all means. They are professional knowledgeable and straightforward. Negative reviews did not surprise me because we often expect sympathy and support from lawyers. But lawyers’s job is something else. They talk truths! I personally used to expect lawyers to be like my mates, agreeing with me ! But I realised a good lawyer can see all the possibilities and informs client of the worst possible outcome. Yes it hurts, but at least you can prepare for the worst. Mr Scott Chapman a very senior lawyer at HLLe is simply the best in employment matters. Many times he confronted me . But now I look back and appreciate his advice. He saved my career. Scott Chapman the best. I left to further express my appreciation. It’s now been some 2 years since HWL Ebsworth assisted me to return to work. Their expertise in Career related matters is outstanding, so is their professionalism and dedication. Exhausted and overwhelmed by the challenges, I was unable to appreciate what is in my best interest. HWL however had a clear and practical solution and walked me through it.

a year agoIf you've got a few spare months up your sleeve and you love getting stuffed around this is the firm for you. Six months of back and forth and eventually they wore us down and we asked for a refund for a will they could not produce. It's a pity they are a law firm and not an AFL team, based on the amount of handballing that goes on at the joint they'd be odds on for winning the trophy hands down

3 years agoToo erratic and inconsistent. They go the extra mile with some aspects of matters which are time critical such as dealing with documentation for my terminally ill wife related to wills etc. But they are Janus faced. I mailed a correct altered death certificate 3 weeks ago Express after BDM made a typo on the original and get an email 3 weeks later asking if I’d received the corrected version as they could not proceed without it! The reason given was they are working from home and mail room issues. It’s too late now to do anything as the Supreme Court closes 21 December and won’t reopen until late January. My wife had done business with them for years. Thanks! Nowhere near good enough and asleep at the wheel. I’ve taken the matter elsewhere and am only imagining the invoice I’ll get for this.

6 years agoThe work of Miss Megan Priestley was so incompetent, unethical, rude and unprofessional, I had to sack her twice. Even if you get her for free through your insurance, say no, because she kicks her clients into the ground and works against her own clients, for the other side. She didnt have a single good review in her name at Tresscox, and managed to remove the many negative reviews about her by removing all links to the website. She has a terrible attitude towards her clients, and is terribly incompetent as a lawyer.
