2 months agoI’m delighted to share my great experience at Optus stadium when we had gone there to witness a cricket match Australia vs India,on 23rd Nov,2024. My wife Abhilasha, suffered a heat stroke and she fainted there. St.John Ambulance Paramedic team deployed at the stadium, stepped forward and saved her life by providing all the necessary aid at that time. All team members of St. John, displayed the core values of their organization i.e treating others with Compassion & respect, humanity. An amazing thing of St John, is to help & provide relief to sick, help others in the most vulnerable moments in their life. Hats off to the amazing team who treat the needy with compassion, and perform an excellent job with an honest and sweet smile on their face! We thank to all the team members from the core of our heart!

3 months agoHad to call the ambulance last night for the first time because my husband felt he was having an issue with his heart. The ambulance arrived in approximately 10 minutes and the paramedics were amazing. Alana and Emily were very professional, but also kind, caring and thoughtful. They subsequently took him to SCGH emergency dept, where he also received amazing care. Thank you very much, it is very comforting to know this amazing service is available when needed.

4 months agoI just wanted to praise the efforts, kindness and care that your Ambo's, Dan & Ellie, provided my Dad in the very early morning hours of Sunday 22nd September 2024. What beautiful people they are! Considering the seriousness of the injury Dad acquired, they were bright and bubbly, kind, caring and considerate, and even made us laugh - which was truly appreciated. And most importantly they were professional - and upheld the St John WA name in very high steed. Please let them know how wonderful they are from us all.

2 months agoALAN the paramedic: stop being silly, wear your clothes while i was lying on the floor fighting the most excruciating pain i have ever experienced, when i summoned all the strength that i had got inside the ambulance he was looking at me as if i was an actress playing a role of deceiver. He said to me if you don't stop what you are doing you can get out of here. I was confused, in pain, overwhelmed, i had a massive headache, chest pain which happened to be a reaction to a medication that i took not knowing that i was allergic to it and my body was fighting to stay alive. I was having seizures, i was getting so cold, crying in pain but to him it was like a joke. In my most vulnerable moment to be treated like that is something that i will never forget in a hurry. I drink socially and i don't smoke yet he kept thinking that i was under the influence of some kind of drugs. He was insensitive, mean for no reason and very unprofessional. The paramedic lady drove with no siren on which also makes me believe that she didn't think the case was serious, when we got to the hospital, Alan told the nurse that i was acting, he was laughing. A part of me understand why some people avoid going to the hospital. The emergency department was like hell. I'm grateful to Fernando who gave me a hot blanket and i thank all the nurses in intensive care who treated me with respect and love. Sallu, Lauren, Nellie, jiji, doctor Michelle and all the other doctors. Alan i want you to know that i have forgiven you for how you treated me but speaking up us part of my healing.

5 months agoI need to give a shout out to Laura and Elisha from St John WA. On Friday night I unfortunately was in the position where I had to call 000 for an ambulance for a loved one. Laura and Elisha took such good care of him, they calmed me down and even took the time to make sure our daughters were ok. The care they provided is there usual day but to us it is something we won't forget. The world needs more Laura's and Elisha's.
