Top quality flying school, with excellent staff,

I went to MFS to complete my PPL training. The entire staff were extremely helpful and in particular the instructors were great. Overall a very professional outfit that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn to fly

Be careful- they can’t deliver anywhere near what they say when it comes to cadet programs. At first where brilliant in communication and promises, then very quickly zero ability to communicate - unless they want your money. Very little ability to keep the course moving when other areas are held up ie covid! All I got were excuses - weather, no instructors, cant fly more than 1 a week and the students attitude/fault. Where I come from, normally you look within before blaming others. This same student has done more ratings, passed further exams and flown 10x as much in 4 months than she did in 2 years at MFS. She has her passion back and we cant stop her. MFS honestly believe they are doing everything possible, but 2 years being their full time & still only a PPL shows otherwise. Still no response of continual emails, texts and calls, after 12 months of requesting updated conciliation of payments vs flying - all funds were paid on time immediately as requested and well upfront. All you’ll get are excuses ! Run Run Run If I may say though, Sharp Airlines with whom I'd had several phone calls with regarding my concerns over nearly a year and who have NO input or say directly with the MFS cadetship training phase were amazing and fantastic communicators. Our biggest sadness is not being able to be involved more with them, as I can only see their operation as very professional, efficient and respectful - 5/5 Stars too SHARP PS I have been involved in aviation, flight check & training for 30 years + in GA and major Airlines, so I have a little knowledge of the industry.

Our Son successfully completed a 22-month Cadetship Diploma of Aviation & Commercial Pilot Licence with MFS (Moorabbin Flying Services) in 2020. As parents we have done everything, we could to finance this course for our Son. MFS had guaranteed in writing 18-month employment on successful completion with full remuneration during the contract period as per the Air Pilots Award. Our Son graduated as a first officer in 2020 and we were told then of delays because of the limited number of airline Captains being available to pair with first officers. Since then, we assumed delays were due to the impacts of COVID-19 which may be understandable, but this is no excuse for not contacting successful graduates with regular updates. Our Son has been patiently waiting since graduating for an update. However, after countless attempts at contacting MFS including phone calls and several messages being left, not one has ever been returned. MFS have yet to honour their commitments and have been negligent in providing our Son with clarity on the status of the guaranteed 18-month employment. To this day, MFS have sent only one email asking if graduates would be interested in alternative placements with other airlines which our Son responded stating that he would be interested. However, after several months, no response from MFS has ever been received. Obviously, this was an empty gesture to delay any further complaints. MFS have made no attempt to communicate how they propose to deliver the guaranteed position for our Son to realise his passion and ambition for a career in aviation. There is absolutely no excuse for such unprofessional behaviour from an organisation that advertises they offer quality flight training in a friendly and supportive environment. Unfortunately, MFS have shown us, that as a company that they have no integrity whatsoever given the way they have treated our Son to date. We are sincerely concerned that MFS is not going to honour its commitments to our Son and many others that have since graduated.

Great instructors helped me through from PPL to CPL level. Learnt to fly the warrior 2 and the arrow 3. Friendly place and helpful staff. Excellent facilities. I'm glad I picked MFS to complete my flying training. Thanks guys.
