a month agoI need to give a shout out to Laura and Elisha from St John WA. On Friday night I unfortunately was in the position where I had to call 000 for an ambulance for a loved one. Laura and Elisha took such good care of him, they calmed me down and even took the time to make sure our daughters were ok. The care they provided is there usual day but to us it is something we won't forget. The world needs more Laura's and Elisha's.

3 months agoNot for the first time, I've been more than helped by the amazing people at St John's Ambulance. I was into an AF episode and found what others couldn't in a few minutes. Professional, first class and life saving. I will always be grateful

4 months ago"The service provided by St. John of God Ambulance and its staff was impeccable. They were prompt in their attendance, and Ellie and Nathan did a wonderful job caring for my dad. The crew from O'Connor/Melville delivered exceptional service. Overall, all St. John ambulances provided exceptionally good care."

4 months agoMy wife broke both of the bones (tibia, fibula) in her lower leg in a basketball court. The ambulance arrived 3 hours after the first call. She could not move, she was on the tarmac for 3 hours in the same position she hit the ground. In the meantime I called 000 countless times, I could not believe what was happening. I was told not to move her (she wouldn't let us move her as she was in so much pain anyway) not to get her any pain medication from the pharmacy 50 meters away. The only reason the ambulance arrived after 3 hours because an off duty ambulance staff re-assessed her, rang 000 and they changed the priority from level 3 to level 1. Three hours in agony St John. Whoever thinks that 3 hours response time is acceptable with an injury like that, I wish it will happen to you and you will experience what my wife had to go through in those 3 hours waiting for help that seemed liked would never arrive. Even for me running around helpless it was soul destroying and I wasn't even the one on the tarmac. How does this happen in Australia? St John, don't bother to apologize, not interested. You can't do anything about it. No words, no money can make the bad memories go away, undo the 3 hours of agony physical for her and psychological for me.
