I came to SCA with my private pilot certificate back in September as a student in their Aviator Program. I was also accepted into the United Aviate program, and had a start date of which I would have to wait an additional month and a half. I sided with SCA. I have zero regrets about this decision and if given the choice again I would take the same path. The caliber of training we receive at this school I would argue is well above most "name brand" schools you will find in Phoenix and arguably the country. If you are just looking for a place to get your certificates, and you could care less how, this is not the school for you. If you are interested in actually being an aviator, you need not look any further.

SCA is a fantastic flight school where you can expect top-notch instruction and organization. Katy, the dispatcher, is the most welcoming and friendly face who keeps the operation running smoothly and is always there to help with any questions you may have! Don and Jim, the Chief Pilots, are both great guys; they are friendly and approachable, yet also command respect and ensure that the prescribed curriculum is being followed, and every student is cared for on their journey. I specifically worked with Devin H. as my CFI and could not have asked for a better experience. Communication and instruction were clear, and we always managed to have some fun while keeping the work productive and efficient. Based on my observations of how the school is run, I’m confident you can expect the same experience with any CFI. I particularly appreciated how many planes were available and the flexibility in scheduling. It’s great that all maintenance is in-house and on-site, so I really did not encounter any maintenance issues with my flights. I truly have nothing but positive accolades to offer based on my experience here. If you review the pricing and feel that it’s slightly more than what other schools might charge, remember the old adage, “you get what you pay for.” It’s well worth it for the organized, well-oiled machine that SCA operates, and the fantastic instruction you can expect to receive.

Absolutely perfect! From my first interaction with Sierra Charlie, they have been a dream to work with! Luke reached out first after I emailed about the Multi-Engine Add-On, very easy to talk to and very helpful. Irene was who helped me get all of my paperwork and financials in order! She was the kindest person ever! Super caring and always smiling! I had the pleasure of working with Matt and Brandon for the flight training. Both top notch instructors and very knowledgeable in their areas of teaching. Keep in mind this is a fast paced moving program where knowledge retention becomes an issue, this was not the case here. Matt was very good at logical explanations and methodical thinking. For anyone considering Sierra Charlie for their training I would not hesitate. Hands down the best flight training facility. Scott took me and my family up in one of his planes at Sierra Charlie and him and his whole team were extremely informative, attentive, and knowledgeable. During our hour and a half ride i got to co-pilot and he made me feel very secure in my abilities and safety in an otherwise nerve wracking situation. I am even considering attending Sierra Charlie Aviation and getting my pilots license. Wonderful experience!

After spending a lot of time researching all of the flight schools in Arizona and Texas, I’m so glad I chose Sierra Charlie Aviation in Scottsdale for my flight training. The owner of the flight school, Scott, has an excellent team of experienced flight instructors with an evident passion for flying! All of the training is done in their beautiful new fleet of 172s equipped with G1000. This keeps training consistent and allows an easy transition to other airplanes. The planes are always clean, meticulously maintained and ready for flight training. Armon is a talented flight instructor with a lot of hours in the cockpit of multiple airplanes.
