I did my instrument, commercial (single & multi), and CFI/CFII at Sierra Charlie and could not be more grateful for the experience. My instructors were professional and made each lesson a fun learning experience in a welcoming and safe atmosphere. My instructors were there for me every step of the way and adjusted their teachings to match my own learning style, which made their high-caliber training a refreshing experience. The chief pilots have a ton of experience and put in the extra effort to make themselves approachable and available. SCA’s new fleet is state-of-the-art and their top-notch maintenance team keeps the planes in great condition - almost like they just rolled off the production line. I experienced near-zero maintenance-related delays in my training and low checkride wait times because of their in-house maintenance team and awesome dispatcher. The Aviator Program has a great track record of producing smart, safe, and employable pilots without rushing you through the process. If you’re willing to put in the hard work and go the extra mile, the team at SCA will double it and make your flight training a phenomenal experience - it’s the flight school that other flight schools want to be. Absolutely perfect! From my first interaction with Sierra Charlie, they have been a dream to work with! Luke reached out first after I emailed about the Multi-Engine Add-On, very easy to talk to and very helpful. Irene was who helped me get all of my paperwork and financials in order! She was the kindest person ever! Super caring and always smiling! I had the pleasure of working with Matt and Brandon for the flight training. Both top notch instructors and very knowledgeable in their areas of teaching. Keep in mind this is a fast paced moving program where knowledge retention becomes an issue, this was not the case here. After spending a lot of time researching all of the flight schools in Arizona and Texas, I’m so glad I chose Sierra Charlie Aviation in Scottsdale for my flight training. The owner of the flight school, Scott, has an excellent team of experienced flight instructors with an evident passion for flying! All of the training is done in their beautiful new fleet of 172s equipped with G1000. This keeps training consistent and allows an easy transition to other airplanes. The planes are always clean, meticulously maintained and ready for flight training. Armon is a talented flight instructor with a lot of hours in the cockpit of multiple airplanes. If you're looking for flight training in Arizona, go with Sierra Charlie Aviation. They are hands down the best flight school in Scottsdale and I cannot say enough good things about them. Their instructors are professional, experienced, and actually make lessons fun. Unlike other places, their planes are brand new and have the Garmin G1000 cockpit. So if you're looking for flight lessons or a flight school in Phoenix or Scottsdale, I highly recommend Sierra Charlie Aviation.

I came to SCA with my private pilot certificate back in September as a student in their Aviator Program. I was also accepted into the United Aviate program, and had a start date of which I would have to wait an additional month and a half. I sided with SCA. I have zero regrets about this decision and if given the choice again I would take the same path. The caliber of training we receive at this school I would argue is well above most "name brand" schools you will find in Phoenix and arguably the country. If you are just looking for a place to get your certificates, and you could care less how, this is not the school for you. If you are interested in actually being an aviator, you need not look any further.
